One of Sophie’s birthday presents was a trike from Grandma and Grandad and as the weather was particularly nice on Sophie’s birthday, we headed off to the park in the afternoon so that Sophie could get a good run out on it.
Jessica enjoyed being able to take her Little Tikes car for a longer drive too!
Both the girls enjoyed being on the swings – Sophie loves to swing quite high now as does Jessica although Mummy got a little enthusiastic and got told “too high, Mummy!” a couple of times.
Sophie has got much more confident with her walking this week so had a little walk around the park with Auntie Maxine holding her hand whilst Jessica enjoyed a little bounce on the trampoline. The girls also enjoyed going in the spider swing together and I love watching them have fun together at moments like this.
It was a lovely way to spend Sophie’s birthday afternoon and she seemed to enjoy riding her trike judging from some of the big smiles we got whilst out and about!

Ah! Lovely little outing. We’ve got one of those trikes but it’s days are numbered now as my two year old has pretty much grown out of it. He won’t go anywhere near a swing either – I think he resents being ‘trapped’ in anywhere when he could be running about like a loon 🙂 #countrykids
