It’s been a week of mostly staying indoors and enjoying snuggling up together on the sofa in the evenings and in the early morning before school. I love the fact that both Sophie and Thomas want to have time to snuggle up with me on the sofa under a cosy blanket before school.

They’ve also been making the most of the fact that their dad has been away on a “work holiday” (as Thomas calls it) and wanting to sleep snuggled up with me in my bed. As much as there are times I’d prefer my own space, I’m aware that one day I will miss moments like that so I’ve been enjoying the snuggles while I still get to have them.
Even church was a good space for snuggling this week. Thomas has a little friend at church who shares the same birthday as him (although she is a few years younger) and she kept running up to him during the service wanting “huggies!” And then during coffee time, I spotted him snuggled up to Sophie on the floor looking at something on their godmother’s phone.

Thomas was unwell towards the end of the week and has had a couple of days off school mostly curled up on the sofa wanting Mummy snuggles. Thankfully he seems to be on the mend now.
What I’ve been grateful for this week:

- Day 30 – I am grateful a quiet evening snuggled up on the sofa enjoying a movie and some treats.
- Day 31 – I am grateful that Sophie enjoyed going to see Cirque du Soleil with her dad.
- Day 32 – I am grateful for being Miss February and all the wonderful memories of this amazing show. What a fabulous experience it all was.
- Day 33 – I am grateful for sleep.
- Day 34 – I am grateful for some quiet time for Thomas to sit and do some drawing before school.
- Day 35 – I am grateful that the days are starting to get longer and it’s now light in the mornings when waiting for the school bus.
- Day 36 – I am grateful that Sophie had the perfect t-shirt for numbers day at school.
Other things that have made me smile this week:
- Making monster shrinkie keyrings.

- Time with Thomas at soft play while my husband took Sophie to see Cirque du Soleil.

Snuggles is such a nice word. And especially for the weather we’ve been having. It’s nice to still be able to enjoy snuggles with your children. Long may it last.
Love this word! Snuggling weeks are the best! Your week also sounds calm with lots of peaceful moments.
Aww! The snuggle time sounds lovely. Enjoy it, my girls never want o snuggle now. Hmmf. Not with me anyway. lol Thomas and his little friend are just adorable. I hope he is feeling much better now. x
What a lovely, cosy week you have all had. There is no better feeling than being snuggled up with the people you love. My two are not as snuggly as they once were, so I make the most of it when I can.
I love the shrinkie keyrings. I didn’t know you could still get them.
Wishing Thomas a speedy recovery x
Love the Shrinkles. Haven’t seen those things for years, I used to love them when I was a child. Snuggles are brilliant – don’t get many of those nowadays. Glad Thomas is getting over being unwell.
Even though I have my glasses on I misread that as struggling! I am so glad that I was wrong! Snuggling is a lovely word and even though my kids are grown ups they still want a cuddle 🙂 I’m glad Thomas is feeling better.
It sounds like a blissful week. I almost forgot the snuggly stage. Thanks for the reminder. Can’t help chuckling at you having an actual calendar from the show and you are February. That is fun. Glad Thomas is feeling better and Sophie enjoyed Cirque du Soleil. What a treat. Hope you have a lovely week
Oh yes, you can’t beat snuggling. But don’t worry, it doesn’t stop. I still get a hug every day from my eldest and Boo. I miss the early morning snuggles before we got up for school but I’ve been having a lot of snuggles lately myself, and my youngest is 15.
There’s nothing better than a snuggle, there does come a time when the snuggles stop, but I’m on my way back from a visit from the grandchildren in Northern Ireland and I’ve been snuggled within an inch of my life.
Snuggling is so precious. I miss the nights with my boys snuggled up in bed with me, their warmth, quiet breathing (kicking and arms splaying, not so much). It sounds like a cosy week.
The keyrings are super cute. Glad Sophie enjoyed the show. Hope Thomas has recovered by now.
