#withkindnessandlove 12 – stories of kindness and sharing some blog love

#withkindnessandlove is a weekly series which is part of my #365daysofkindness project which I am taking on during this year. Each week, I will be sharing some stories of kindness along with some things that have made me smile during the week.  Some weeks I might share a quote that has inspired me, or some suggestions for small acts of kindness that I have come across. Here are this week’s little moments of kindness and little things I have loved.

Little moments of kindness

The girls and I had a dentist appointment earlier this week. We always have our appointments together and my mother-in-law always comes along to help watch the girls when it’s my turn to be seen. This time I was extra-thankful for her being there. As I went to pay for my treatment after my appointment, I realised that I had left my purse in the pocket of my winter coat, which was still at home and had no means of paying for the appointment. Thankfully my mother-in-law was happy to step in and lend me the money to pay my bill.

“My baby stopped breathing when I carried her in the sling. She had gone grey and blood was coming out of her nose. There were no first aiders at the gallery and I was screaming for one and a kind stranger rushed over helped to calm me down and helped administer first aid. Thankfully after life saving support of our NHS my baby survived.” (Sophie – Mama Mei)

“We went through a rougher time a few weeks back our family car was written off by a drunk driver and in the same week we were all struck down by a sickness bug my sister Emily sent a surprise through the post which was a hamper of food which we really appreciated as we hadn’t been able to get out the house for weeks.” (Katie – Mummy’s Diary)

Sharing some blog love

A blog post that has inspired me

I’ve donated blood for many years and am on the organ donor register but one thing that I had never thought about donating was stem cells. Me, Annie Bee recently shared a guest post on her blog highlighting the importance of stem cell donation and how it can save lives. It’s certainly inspired me to sign up to the stem cell donor register.

If you have any stories about being on the receiving end of an act of kindness that you’d like me to include in a future blog post, please feel free to email them to me at louise @ littleheartsbiglove.co.uk or fill in the form here.

  1. Oh my goodness thank goodness for the kind stranger helping the baby in the sling with first aid, I dread to think what might have happened. Sometimes the kindness of strangers really is a lifesaver.
