Win a Happy Beaks bird feeding bundle

I have collaborated with Happy Beaks to share a giveaway for my readers in this post. I have not received any payment for sharing this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sitting out in the garden and listening to the birds singing is one of the simple pleasures of life. We love encouraging the birds to visit our garden by regularly putting out food for them and making sure they have access to fresh water.

Sophie loves spotting all the different types of birds in the garden. She particularly loves seeing the fledglings appear from late spring through to the summer months. She’s getting quite good at identifying the different types of birds.

It’s a good idea to put out different types of food to encourage a variety of birds to visit. We have a few different types of bird feeder, including a ground feeder tray for mealworms, a fat ball feeder and a seed feeder. There are quite a few different birds that visit out garden regularly. The mealworms seem to be popular with the robins and starlings; the blue tits love the fat balls and the seed feeder is a favourite with the greenfinches. Other regular visitors to our garden include wood pigeons, collared doves, magpies, chaffinches and house sparrows. We’ve also spotted an occasional redwing and ring-necked parakeet.

If you’re thinking about trying to encourage more birds to visit your garden, Happy Beaks have a wide selection of high-quality bird food and feeders on their website. You can also find information about what types of bird feeders to use, a garden bird library to help you identify the different birds visiting your garden, and a blog sharing monthly garden updates and articles about topics such as what types of plants will encourage birds to visit your garden or how to help wildlife in hot weather. My post on how to build a wormery was recently included in their post sharing ideas for garden activities for kids.
