Review and giveaway – Kaya Jewellery

I don’t often wear jewellery, other than my wedding and engagement rings. The few items of jewellery I do wear though have special meaning. Some of them are beaded necklaces that I have made myself whereas others were bought for a special occasion or with a particular memory in mind. When Kaya Jewellery contacted me to invite me to choose an item from their range, I knew I wanted to choose something that would be special to me.

Kaya Jewellery was started by mum Tanja, who wanted to create an affordable brand of children’s jewellery using genuine materials, such as precious stones and crystals, rather than wood or plastic. The range includes matching mother and daughter jewellery designed to help celebrate the bond between a mum and daughter. Each item is designed and made by Kaya Jewellery and hand-engraved. Kaya Jewellery also donates part of their profits to the Eduki Foundation which helps provide education for children in Gambia.

I chose a pretty heart-shaped pendant with a white/cream freshwater pearl. A heart shape has a double meaning for me as a heart mummy. It symbolises the love I have for my daughters as well as our journey as a heart family. The necklace I chose has both my daughters’ names engraved on it. I love the pretty script font used to engrave my girls’ names. It’s a necklace that has a special meaning for me, and one that I will cherish. I love the fact that it is also available as a girls’ necklace too so I could get the girls the same necklace if they wanted to match Mummy.
