#365daysofgratitude 2018 – Week 5

For the last two years, I have taken part in a daily gratitude challenge – sharing one photo a day on Instagram of something I am grateful for. It’s taught me to look for the little things and has made me a more positive person. Even on the difficult days, I have managed to find something that I can be thankful for. It’s now become such a positive part of my life that I’ve decided to keep going for a third year. To find something in every day that I am thankful for, no matter how small. These weekly summaries have become a lovely way of looking back across the week, and a reminder that I have so much to be thankful for. These are the things that I have been thankful this week:

Day 28 – I am grateful that our shoebox house is finished – next step is to make some furniture!

Day 29 – I am grateful for craft matchboxes, egg boxes, washi tape, craft sticks and foil. They’ve all been very useful for helping make the furniture for our shoebox house!

Day 30 – I am grateful for cold, crisp and sunny winter mornings.

Day 31 – I am grateful that our news about Peanut is now out in the open and am very impressed with my girls for managing to keep it a surprise too.

Day 32 – I am grateful for getting to spend the whole day with both my girls. It’s so nice getting to have so much time with Jessica while she is still off school recovering.

Day 33 – I am grateful for coffee and cake.

Day 34 – I am grateful for a lovely afternoon and evening catching up with friends from my Birth Centre days.
