From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!
A big thank you to everyone who linked up last week. I loved the way Family Makes turned the tables on her children after being caught red-handed feeding some dinner to the dog and After the Rain’s post about the strange compliments that little ones give.
Jessica has been looking forward to spending some time with her cousins over the summer and one of the things she is most excited about is going swimming with them:
“We’re going swimming. I need to have my gobbles. And I have to take my glasses off because otherwise they will go in the wash and get soaked.”
I do love how she says “gobbles” instead of goggles!
She loves chatting on the phone to people but can be very blunt when she wants to end the call:
“Mummy you talk to daddy now. I’ve had enough of talking to Daddy.”
Sophie loves singing to herself and it’s lovely to hear her. She made me chuckle the other evening when singing “We’re all potatoes” (which I think she picked up from CBeebies) over and over again at bedtime. Her mouth shape at the end of each line made me giggle.
If you have any posts about something that your children have been saying lately, please do come and link up. The linky opens each Monday from 6am and closes on Friday at 11pm so there is plenty of time to link up your posts (old and new posts are welcome!). Please add the badge below to your post so others know where they can also link up (the badge code is below). I will also try and share posts via Twitter – please use the hashtag #ftmob and I’ll do my best to retweet them. I also have a Pinterest board and will be sharing posts here too.
Looking forward to reading what your little ones have been saying!
Thank you for the mention. We have blunt ends to conversations too, particularly when we face time. “Turn them off now!” Hehe. Love Sophie’s singing, so cute.
Haha, I love her bluntness uber cute X #ftmob
Ha ha gobbles that’s a good one and being worried her glasses would go in the wash if she didn’t take them off.
I’m so looking forward to all these little mis pronunciations when Little Miss OMG starts talking properly.
Thanks for hosting #ftmob
Ahaha! ‘Gobbles’ is a much better word than goggles for sure 🙂 and I love Sophie’s singing. Somehow bedtime always seems like the most appropriate time to take centre stage and belt out some songs. At the moment my son love Clodplay’s ‘High’ and will sing it all the time, including and mostly at bedtime (little monkey) x
lol so cute. Love the bluntness. So funny xx
Love this. Gobbles is cute. So is her bluntness! Brilliant! #ftmb
Oh hahaha! Reading and watching the video before bedtime is not a good idea. I keep laughing and I am fully awake and recharged now. lol She is such a cutie. I should show the video to Olivia tomorrow. xx
