Over the summer, we have been combining Jessica’s love of painting, drawing and sticking and making lots of cards for various occasions.
We usually start with cutting up one of Jessica’s many paintings to provide a background which Jessica then sticks on to a pre-folded card. Then Mummy selects some stickers and/or foam shapes for Jessica to stick on to this background. Jessica does most of the sticking by herself although if there is a number to go on the card, Mummy might help a little with this. Then Jessica might finish off with a little bit of drawing on the card before it is ready to be sent.
Here are a few of the cards that Jessica has made over the summer:
Linking up again this week with KidGLloves and the #minicreations linky:
Lovely cards, we like making homemade cards too, #minicreations
Thank you – homemade cards are the best 🙂
Aww what a nice card and love how concentrated she is while doing her card! #minicreations
Thank you 🙂
Its great to actually use their paintings for something isn’t it? They make such lovely cards 🙂 xx #minicreations
Thank you – much better than putting them in the recycling! 🙂
What a brilliant way of using toddler messy paintings. I’ve never thought of using them as backgrounds for cards. We’ll definitely be trying this xx

Thank you – most of them would have just ended up in the recycling bin otherwise – there are too many really to keep them all. They’re brilliant for card backgrounds 🙂
