Friday Focus 17/03/17 – Spring is in the air

Sunny days, warmer weather, daffodils blooming in the garden – it must be Spring! This week has seen us shedding our winter coats and enjoying trips to the park after school.

Spring - this week's word of the week

I love getting out and about at this time of year. The world is such a pretty place. The trees are full of pink and white blossom, the rhododendrons are starting to bloom and daffodils seem to be waving their bright cheery heads everywhere.… Read more

Thoughts at 3AM: Sleep deprivation

Sleep deprivation is one of the hardest things about parenthood. Nothing really prepares you for it. The mind-numbing, all-consuming exhaustion that comes with a repeated lack of quality sleep. My girls had a wonderful afternoon making Easter baskets out of craft foam and filling them with glittery eggs. The baskets are simple to make, although young children will need some adult help with making the basket.… Read more

From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!

Thank you to everyone who linked up last week.… Read more

Heart family fun at Cliveden

One of the highlights of half-term for Jessica and Sophie was our day out at Cliveden with another heart family.  Jessica and P first met at the heart ward Christmas party and quickly made friends with each other. They are around the same age as each other (P is a few months younger) and both have similar heart conditions.… Read more
