From the mouths of babes #95

From the mouths of babes is a weekly linky which invites you to share a post, old or new, about something your children have said. Those adorable mispronounced words, the glimpses into their imaginations, the blunt observations – whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!

A big thank you to everyone who linked up last week.  I had to chuckle over Buddy asking for more like Oliver in OMG It’s A Girl’s post and I loved reading about Hank’s thoughts on the election for US President shared by Conversations with Hank.

Jessica in her cardigan with lots of hearts on - "From the mouths of babes #95 - Have a heart"

Jessica is becoming more and more aware of her special heart and how it makes her different from other children.  After she and Sophie had a bath the other day, she noticed something that was different – “Mummy, my toes are purple! Why are my toes purple and Sophie’s toes are pink?”

Sometimes at school, if it is cold, or Jessica has got a little breathless running around, she is asked to come inside and sit down.  She has a friend at school, K, who also has a heart condition (not the same one as Jessica) and so the two of them often come in together.

“I like K, “Jessica tells me, “we come in together because we both have hearts. No-one else has hearts.”

If you have any posts about something that your children have been saying lately, please do come and link up. The linky opens each Monday from 6am and closes on Friday at 11pm so there is plenty of time to link up your posts (old and new posts are welcome!). Please add the badge below to your post so others know where they can also link up (the badge code is below). I will also try and share posts via Twitter – please use the hashtag #ftmob and I’ll do my best to retweet them. I also have a Pinterest board and will be sharing posts here too.

Looking forward to reading what your little ones have been saying!

It made me chuckle when she said it – I’m not sure I’m prepared for the questions that will come as she becomes more aware of her heart condition though.

It made me laugh too. She’s definitely becoming more aware of the differences that her special heart brings – thankfully we’ve not had too many questions yet though.
